How TripleDip Works
1. Search for Any Store
Type in any merchant name — from major retailers like Amazon, Target, and Best Buy to niche online shops. We track over 12,000 stores across more than 30 reward sources, so chances are we have offers for wherever you shop.
2. Compare All Available Offers
We show you every available cashback rate and offer for that merchant, organized by type: shopping portal rates (like Rakuten, TopCashback, and BeFrugal), payment offers (credit card deals, bank offers), and gateway bonuses (PayPal, Venmo promotions). Each offer shows the exact rate, any spending requirements, and expiration dates.
3. Stack and Maximize Your Rewards
Here's where the magic happens. We calculate the best combination of rewards you can stack. For example, you might earn 5% cashback through a shopping portal andget $20 back from a credit card offer on the same purchase. We call this a “2× DIP” — two independent reward layers working together. Simply click through to the portal, pay with the recommended card, and collect all your rewards.
Understanding “Dips”
A “Dip” is our term for one independent reward layer you can apply to a purchase. Each Dip represents a separate source of cashback or rewards that can be stacked with others without conflict.
Portal Dip
Shopping portal cashback (e.g., Rakuten 3%, TopCashback 5%). You earn this by clicking through a portal before making your purchase. Only one portal can be used per purchase.
Payment Dip
Credit card offers, bank deals, or payment gateway promotions (e.g., “Amex: $15 back on $75+”). These are tied to your payment method and stack independently with portal cashback.
When both a Portal Dip and a Payment Dip are available for the same merchant, you have a “2× DIP” opportunity — the best scenario for maximizing your rewards. Our DIP badges on merchant cards make it easy to spot these double-dip opportunities at a glance.
